In this course we learned key concepts and paradigms that are used to talk about climate change — and the underlying assumptions embedded within that make it harder to address climate change. We also looked at local and regional policies, nongovernmental and governmental research, and experiments at the intersection of health, ecology, and infrastructure.

The Global Council of Climate Leaders involves collaboration with peers during and outside of class. We worked to create a proposal for global climate action, which we will present to the Drexel community.

Discussion includes several finance projects conducted by different stakeholders in the cities of Denver, Colorado; Paris, France; and Copenhagen, Denmark. Projects detailed include mass transit trains in Paris, city income taxes and municipal bonds passed in Denver to address and fund climate change projects, and local/federal partnerships for funding for climate change infrastructure.
